Dolly-Parton

Dolly Parton escaped the struggles that shaped her life at an early age by using her creative and imaginative imagination. Before she learned to write and read, she had already composed her own songs. The first time she picked up a guitar was at age 8 and started singing at a Knoxville Tenn radio station at age eleven. Gold Band Records is a small label that is independent. Although she was at school, she already established herself in the local music scene. However, her goal was to to make music on a greater scale. She relocated to Nashville the day after graduating in 1964. Dumb Blonde, Something Fishy and Dumb Blonde both charted on Monument Records in 1967. Porter Wagoner, a syndicated television show host in the late '60s, was looking for a female singer on his show. Parton was hired in 1966. She then was signed to RCA Records in 1968, and then the Grand Ole Opry was founded in the year 1969. She quit Wagoner's act in 1974 after her own songs like Joshua Coat of Many Colors & Jolene oversold her collaborations. Parton, after the split of their partnership with Wagoner, wrote"I'll Always Be Loved" by You and had it reach Number. The first time it reached No. 1 was 1974.
